These are the replacement heads for the Scholl Velvet Smooth Electronic Nail Care System. It comes in both blue and pink and with the use of a battery you can keep your nails in great condition. The heads simply click on the handle and you select your power setting depending on the intensity required for that nail.
The dark blue head is for filing and is quite rough but still gentle enough to be used on both fingernails and toenails. The light blue head is used if polishing is to be done. They can be used for up to 3 seconds every 10 days on each nail on the surface of the nail to remove imperfections and dullness. If you choose to use this head, it is also recommended that you use the third head, which is the white one used for polishing. This is used across the surface of the nail to give your nails the appearance of being polished with polish. Our experience with the Scholl Velvet Smooth Electronic Nail Care System:
WE have been a bit obsessed with nail care recently. And have tested a whole range of nail care products and we ended up writing this article about the Scholl Electronic Nail Care System.
The nail care system comes in a sealed package. The package consists of an electric file, 3 heads, nutritional oil and batteries. The packaging is very tight. Opening it was a bit of a challenge and I used scissors to cut it open. The electric nail filter is blue and curved.
Insertion/head 1:
This head is used to file/shape the nails. The head is coarse and blue in colour. The file should be moved in one direction and depending on the way you move you can achieve the perfect shape. You can shape your files into any desired shape. However, the design requires a lot of practice. We started, I filed my nails much more than expected. The head is good and it files the nail easily. The head is good for short nails, but for longer nails it feels a bit off and shakes. But with practice there is no problem. After filing, clean the head a bit as it gets the nail dust. The head can be replaced when it runs smoothly.
Insertion/ Head 2:
This head is neither rough nor very smooth. The head is blue-green. This is used to smooth the nails. If there are any ridges, it smoothes out the nail surface. The head polishes the nail surface. However, there is some nail dust that is scraped off. I have problems with nail peeling and this removes the edges and peels making my nails smoother. The peels go away and when the nails grow back there are no peels. As it files away the nail surface, it is not recommended to use this head often - maybe once or twice a month and no more than that.
Insertion/head3:
This head is white in color and is smooth. This is used to make the nails shine. The effects of this are absolutely amazing! The nails become so much shinier and smoother. There is a natural shine on the nails and the effects last for a long time. The head gives the effect of a shiny top coat and I love this head very much!
After the nail care, you must use the nail oil, which is included in some sets. The nail oil has a combination of different oils that can improve the quality of the nails. The scent of the clove oil is wonderful. But the nail oil is quite expensive so I won't use it often and use the other nail serum more. We originally thought this product would do the same job as the nail buffers available, but it does more than that and I'm glad we tested this product!
