Mexx

Mexx is a design company which in the 1970s started designing clothes for wholesale stores in the Netherlands. The clothes were specifically designed for the individual stores' brands. A reorganization of the company in the 80s resulted in the creation of two popular clothing brands - "Moustache" for men and "Emanuelle" for women. The clothing brands leaned heavily on each other in their collections and their focus on lifestyle and a younger target group. In 1986, the two brands were merged into one – Mexx, as we know it today. The two XXs added to the brand's name are slang for "kisses", which is widely used in England.

Mexx is today a major brand in more than 55 countries, which is particularly known as a lifestyle brand that delivers quality at a high level.
