The PAYOT name was created in the 1920s by Nadia Payot in her own kitchen and implies history, tradition and courage. One of the first female doctors ever to graduate from the Lausanne School of Medicine, Nadia developed a beauty philosophy based on movement, which she called "physical culture", along with her first cleansers and creams. Opening the first ever beauty therapy school, Nadia Payot quickly became a major figure in the field of cosmetology and her legacy lives on with the incredibly large and wonderful PAYOT range of beauty products.
